Busy Ears

I have made some time to go through some new releases this week. I want to form my opinion before I read any reviews. So, Winamp and the iPod are loaded with: Interpol "Interpol", Blonde Redhead "Penny Sparkle", Hurts "Happiness", Ou Est Le Swimming Pool "The Golden Years", Grinderman "Grinderman 2", Gorillaz "Plastic Beach", The Pipettes "Earth vs. The Pipettes".

Heard about this via a post by Stripmall Architecture: it's a nice slice of electronicness by a band called Com Truise and you can find a 7 track free ep on their site called "Cyanide Sisters".

Iris - Blacklight CD

The new synthpop CD from Iris, titled "Blacklight" is available! Below is the video for the track "Closer To Real".
I am reminded of listening to Iris in 2005, as it was one of the few CDs I brought along to a vacation in Utah, Idaho, Montana and Wyoming. Perfect music for a long drive. I got engaged on that trip. Best time of my life and Iris was a fitting sound-track to it all. Now, ask me about what's happened since then and it'll end up on Encyclopedia Dramatica.
This CD is currently the #1 ranked over at A Different Drum, so you know this backed by a tradition of quality and a solid fan-base.
